What it does

Nine menus, sixty-plus tweaks, every one dry-runnable. See the diff before it changes anything.

1

System Optimization

Ultimate Performance power plan, service trim, Superfetch off on SSDs, disable scheduled defrag, visual-effect tuning.

rustcrash --optimize
2

Windows Cleanup

Purge %TEMP%, Prefetch, DNS cache, WinSxS trim (DISM), Windows.old, browser caches, download quarantine.

rustcrash --clean
3

Privacy & Telemetry

Block 42 telemetry endpoints at the firewall + hosts level, disable Diagnostic Tracking, opt-out of ad ID + activity history.

rustcrash --privacy
4

Network Tuning

Nagle off for latency-sensitive apps, TCP window autotune to experimental, RSS enabled per NIC, DNS to 1.1.1.1.

rustcrash --net
5

Gaming Profile

MMCSS scheduling weight, Game Bar off, GPU scheduler HardwareAccelerated, per-game priority + affinity presets.

rustcrash --game
6

Startup Manager

Enumerate startup entries (Run keys + Task Scheduler + WMI subs), disable non-essential entries, boot-log analyzer.

rustcrash --startup
7

Advanced (25 tweaks)

The long tail: Cortana, Xbox services, hibernation, page-file sizing, Nagle, indexer scope, Store cache, icon cache rebuild.

rustcrash --advanced
8

Settings + Backup

Every change writes a rollback point. Export/import your profile as JSON, apply across machines with one command.

rustcrash --backup
?

Verbose Diagnostic Mode

Log every registry read, every service query, every firewall rule change to a plain-text audit file. Nothing hidden.

rustcrash --verbose

How to run

Open PowerShell as Administrator and paste the command below. That's it — no download, no installer.

PowerShell (Admin)

The one-liner streams the utility straight into your session — nothing lands on disk. Every change is reversible from the Settings menu.

FAQ

Do I need to install anything?
No. The one-liner streams the utility straight into your PowerShell session. Nothing lands on disk, nothing gets registered in Add/Remove Programs.
Does it cost anything?
No. RustCrash is free to run. No account, no license, no subscription. Paste the command and go.
Will it break my Windows install?
Every action writes a rollback checkpoint before it runs. rustcrash --undo reverts the last operation; rustcrash --reset restores everything to defaults. Registry writes stay under HKCU where possible.
Does it collect telemetry?
No usage analytics. No phone-home. The utility runs entirely in your PowerShell session and closes when you exit.
Does it work on Windows 11 24H2 / 25H2?
Yes. Tested against 22H2, 23H2, 24H2, 25H2 and the current 26200 Insider build. AppX-based autoruns and the new Task Scheduler v2 API are both handled.
Can I run it on multiple machines?
Yes. Paste the same command on any Windows machine. Nothing binds the utility to one PC.
